Herzig Eye Institute

I found Herzig after I was recommended by my local eye doctor. The staff, as well as, the doctors were accommodating in explaining to me the different procedures regarding vision restoration. I elected to go with the SMILE procedure. The surgery only lasted 10 minutes. Post-operation, I was instructed on what steps I needed to take for eye care. The following day, I was able to go back to work, drive, and continue my day-to-day activities. It's worth the time and money. Thank you, Herzig.

I did cataract surgery with Dr.Herzig and very happy with everything. Especially with communications. I got very clear explanation about surgery and lens and my emails were answered promptly with exact answers to things that I asked. I visited other surgeons before where stuff didn't answered my question, didn't replied to email, or sent email writing something different from my questions. Staff is very professional and friendly in Herzig Eye Institute. It was like a magic that after barely seeing things I got restore vision of everything. Thank you very much Dr.Herzig and all the staff.

Edit: the admin team and especially Sophia are very helpful in assisting me to avoid getting my driver’s license suspended. The operation itself was a good experience; the medical team was compassionate and professional, but the admin team really dropped the ball multiple times. 1. After the first consultation, I never received the follow up information promised and I had to chase the admin team to do the next step. 2. Post operation, the admin team promised to send the form to the ministry of transportation to update my driver’s license, but they forgot to do it. 3. A month later, when I asked them to send in the form, they sent in an empty form which confused the ministry of transportation, and I received a letter stating that my driver’s license will be suspended if no additional test result is received in 30 days. I appreciate the excellent care provided by the staff.

We are from the US. Our daughter can see! We are absolutely satisfied and happy that our daughter, who has been wearing contacts since the age of 4, (22 years old at time of surgery) was able to have +10 ICL lenses installed by Dr. Herzig. She came out of surgery crying. She was able to see. Dr. Herzig and the team have given her a new life. Why Canada and not the US? Because the US FDA hasn’t certified +10 lenses. Surgery was performed in May 2023. At time of writing is December 2023. There have been no issues post surgery. Thank you Herzig Eye Institute for giving our daughter the gift of sight.
